My name is Hayley Loughlin and I am a recent graduate from the Visual Communications, B.A.J.M.C. program at the University of South Carolina. I Received a Minor in Graphic Design (Studio Art) with a strong emphasis in photography as well. With my degree being in the journalism school I have acquired journalism skills such as writing and reporting, law and ethics of mass communications, research techniques, and especially all thing design, photography, videography, multimedia, and web design. My interests include working with logos/identity and branding systems, packaging design, promotional design, infographics, social media, event planning, and photography.
For my business Hayley Loughlin photography and Designs, I enjoy shooting portraits and fashion photography or really just about anything that I can gain business in. recently I have been doing product photography and shooting events in the Columbia area. More recently I have begun to see local businesses reaching out to me to design promotional marketing materials for them as well. Currently I am working with three companies, A Taste of the South, Vista Keys, and Famous Toastery. Taking on my own business has made my organization and time management skills flourish and I have also gained valuable connections that have helped spread the word about my skills.
I love traveling when I can and the most valuable thing I have brought back with me are my photos because they really capture the essence of the places I visited. When I’m not traveling I enjoy food photography as well. Along with my obsession for travel I have gotten into travel blogging and travel videography. You can often find me searching travel videos on vimeo while fantasizing and planning my next adventure. I am especially passionate towards journalism when I’m documenting my travels through making videos, taking pictures, and using those materials to blog. One of my other talents and interests that I wish to pursue further is event planning. I have really enjoyed being put in charge of bringing people together and the responsibilities that go with organizing/planning events whether it was for my job, sorority or just for friends and family.
